Perls Villa
Today's Jiráskova Street, formerly Růžičkova Street, was around 1900 a place where local middle and upper class houses grew up. Among the local builders were the art-loving physician Julius Perl and his wife Stefania, who commissioned a pair of Viennese architects Josef Tölk and Franz von Krauss to draw up plans for their villa. The Perl family house, designed in 1906, was completed by the New Jičín construction company Czeike & Wondra the following year. The style of the villa is characteristic of the border between individual modernism and new historicism, traditional in the decade before the First World War.
In the vicinity of the villa is the popular city park Smetana Sady
