Eduard Orl's House
Eduard Orel, a member of the Austrian Navy and a participant in the Austro-Hungarian polar expedition that discovered the world's northernmost archipelago, the Land of Emperor Franz Josef, in 1874, was born in this house. He was knighted for his services and spent the end of his life as a steward of the imperial castle in Miramare.
During his lifetime, Eduard supported his hometown and his donations are part of the collections of the Nový Jičín Museum and school cabinets.
Currently, the building on Křižíkova Street houses the popular Déva Tea Room.
