You can also take a trip to Kunín, a village founded at the end of the 13th century, which did not flourish significantly until five centuries later.
The local chateau, the most valuable Baroque building of its kind in Moravia, is definitely worth a visit. Built by a famous Viennese builder, it served as a country estate for rest and relaxation. In 2000, the chateau was reconstructed and the chateau collections are still there today. Its tour includes the rooms, bedrooms and classrooms of the original school. The Great Hall houses a gallery of Renaissance portraits. The tour traditionally ends in the castle attic, where you can admire the unique Baroque chimney system.
In addition to the history, sports-minded people will also enjoy the football and volleyball fields or the tennis courts. Cyclists can take the international Moravian Gate cycle route.
