Tourist information center Of Nový Jičín

The first written mention of the town in the northernmost part of the Novojičín region dates back to 1383. Klimkovice is famous for its spa tradition. Clientele from home and abroad come to the peaceful spa town mainly for the iodine-bromine baths, which have a beneficial effect on the human body, help in the treatment of musculoskeletal, neurological and gynaecological diseases and have a positive effect on the vascular system.

In addition to the modern spa complex, there are historical monuments, such as a 16th century castle, currently used as a museum. The Gothic church of St. Catherine, built in 1400, should not be missed. The town's Petr Bezruč Park with its exotic trees is also worth a visit. Among the natural attractions are the wandering boulders set into the rock garden in the park. They came to us from Scandinavia as a relic of the Ice Age. South of the town we can admire the Poodří Protected Landscape Area with the Oder River and ornamental ponds.

Hikers will appreciate the possibility to follow many marked hiking or cycling trails.
