Commemorative plaque with the coat of arms of Nový Jičín from 1613

Sandstone plaque measuring 123 x 88 cm, originally located on the so-called Parish Bastion, secondarily walled in the entrance hall of the Town Hall on Masaryk Square.
In the cartouche in an oval polychromed municipal emblem - a hand in a black sleeve holding the right half of a silver wound arrow stands out from the golden clouds at the left edge.
The inscribed capital inscription with numerous ligatures begins in two lines in a narrow scroll cartouche above the coat of arms:
ANNO DOMINI . 1613 / TVRRIS . FORTISIMA . NOMEN . DOMINI .
It continues in a rectangular roller cartouche below the coat of arms:

The plaque was carved to commemorate the building of the so-called Parish Bastion of the city fortifications.
