Gallery – a new exhibition every month!

For amateur and professional photographers from the Nový Jičín region, this is an opportunity to show their work to the public and an interesting artistic experience for viewers. The gallery, which is part of the Visitor Center operating in the Laudon House on Masaryk Square in Nový Jičín, thus becomes part of the rich cultural life of the city.

Openings here, with great interest from the audience, are usually held at the beginning of each month. The exhibited photographs celebrate the beauty of the landscape, capture fleeting moments of everyday life or commemorate significant events related to Nový Jičín – recently, we can recall, for example, the jubilee of the poet and singer-songwriter Karel Kryl, whose family came from here, or 100 years of Nový Jičín scouting. In the spring of 2023, an exhibition of photographs and three-dimensional objects dedicated to Jaroslav Hlaďo, a local native and commander of the Czechoslovak fighter wing of the British Royal Air Force RAF during World War II, took place here.

The gallery space allows for the display of around 50 photographs. All exhibitions are free of charge for visitors.
