The exhibition of hats was created in 2011 to spread the hat-making tradition, which dates back to the 16th century in Nový Jičín.

The unique exhibition dedicated to the technological process of hat production is located on the first floor of the Visitor Centre. In addition to the main staircase, wheelchair access is also provided via a lift. Tickets to the exhibition can be purchased at the Tourist Information Centre in the entrance area of the Visitor Centre.

Upon entering the exhibition, a clear graphic diagram will direct you to the tour route. In an engaging and entertaining way, you will learn about the individual stages of the remarkable process of hat making.Thanks to interactive elements, you will experience an active tour during which you will discover the magic of hat making, from the raw material originally obtained to the finished and decorated product. You will also learn about the history of hat making and at the end you can play hat designer in the creative workshop.

In 2019, the exhibition was painted by the graphic design students of the Educa Vocational High School. They are thematically linked to the part of the exhibition that recalls the local history of hat making. Typical Nový Jičín elements or a lamp and a bench from the historical centre are also part of the painting.
