The Na Svinci Ski Complex is located only 3 km from the centre of Nový Jičín. A ski slope with ski chalet were established on Svinec in 1981. The main ski run is 470 m long, with an elevation difference of 120 m. It also provides interesting terrain for more experienced skiers. The run has snow guns and skiers can ski under artificial lighting every evening. The ski complex also has a children’s slope called “Včelínek“ (Beehive), which only has natural snow. The slope made up of three runs of a length of 150 m for experienced and less experienced skiers.

The Na Svinci Ski Complex also has facilities for cross-country skiers, for whom it maintains 3,200 m of machine-groomed cross-country trail from the ski chalet, around the peak of Svinec and back again. There is also a 5,600 m long trail, called the “Magistrala” very near this circuit. Cross-country skiers in the Nový Jičín Region also have longer trails available, of a total length of over 20 km, which are directly linked to the Podbsekydy cross-country trail, along which you can reach the peak of Velký Javorník and continue on to the area of Radhošť. An uninterrupted ten-kilometre stretch of the “Palacky’s Trail“ cycle-route also becomes an excellent trail for cross-country skiers in winter. This trail also links to over 50 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails in the Beskyd Mountains.

The HEIPARK complex keeps a national rarity in the form of artificial ski runs with their own t-bar lifts.
