Real honey from Nový Jičín

The town of Nový Jičín owns 8 hives, you can find 4 hives at Slunný háj on Skalky and 4 hives are located behind the agricultural school in Žilina. The town owned 4 hives until 2018 and added another 4 hives in 2019, all of which are located in two bee sheds.

What flowers do the bees pollinate?

For the first honey harvest the bees mostly pollinate a mixture of the spring blooms of herbs and fruit trees, for the second honey harvest they mostly pollinate the flowers of the small-leaved lime tree.

Tea with ribwort plantain

An envelope with tea made from Beskydy herbs. This product is intended as a stylish postcard or gift for visitors to the Nový Jičín Visitor Centre.

The envelope contains Tea with ribwort plantain – a loose fruit tea with herbs. The amount is enough for two cups. Content weight: 10 g.

Ingredients: apple – fruit, pear – fruit, oregano – leaves and stems, raspberry – leaves, plantain – leaves (3 %), mullein – flowers. Without added flavourings, colourings, sugar or preservatives. Does not contain hibiscus.

This winery is located in the picturesque village of Boršice in the Slovácko Region. It offers a stylish restaurant, accommodation, wellness facilities, museum with tour, underground and cellars with period cellar architecture.

A young wine with a golden colour and greenish highlights. Its fragrance contains tones of nettles, complemented by sweet peaches.  Its full-bodied, diverse flavour is dominated by gooseberries, grapefruit and peaches, and finishes with light mineral tones.

Alcohol content 12.5 % vol.

Sauvignon, 2018

A light yellow wine with greenish highlights. Its aroma is dominated by blackcurrant leaves with tones of dead-nettle flowers and peaches. The harmonic flavour contains traces of gooseberry and citrus.

Dry white wine. Volume: 0.75 l.

Alcohol content 12.5 % volume.

Alibernet, 2018

A dark ruby colour with purple highlights. The intensive aroma is reminiscent of ripe sour cherries with forest fruits. The wine is aged in an oak barrel to promote traces of vanilla and coffee. The light fruity flavour of forest fruits and plums is complemented by rich tannins.

Dry red wine. Volume: 0.75 l.
