2001 - Nový Jičín was made Historic Town of the Year and was awarded the Prize for best preparation and realisation of the Programme for regeneration of municipal conservation areas and zones.

2011 - Opening of the Visitor’s Centre in Nový Jičín – Town of Hats with hat exhibition.

2014 - Opening of the General Laudon exhibition at the Visitor’s Centre in Nový Jičín – Town of Hats.
