1768 - The great fire, 455 houses burned down as well as the parish and church.

1773 - The Jesuit Order was dissolved.

1775 - Maria Therese granted Nový Jičín its freedoms again and declared it a municipal town.

1790 - Field Marshal Gideon Ernst Laudon stayed in house No 29 and died suddenly here on 14/07.

1799 - The Hückel family arrived in the town. This family founded the hat making tradition of Nový Jičín.

- In 1775 it declared Nový Jičín a free municipal town.
