Richard Kloss the Elder was an important architect and builder. The Kloss family was a family of builders who contributed to the building boom of the town in the 19th and early 20th century. The construction company Ing. Richard Kloss's building company was responsible for the construction of important buildings such as the Boys' General School, the German Association House, the Girls' General and Burgher School, the Jubilee Synagogue of Emperor Franz Joseph and others.
