Max Preisenhammer was a businessman, merchant and co-owner of the family factory, which he was instrumental in developing. The name of the Preisenhammer family is indelibly inscribed in the great development of the textile industry of the city in the second half of the 19th century. Max Preisenhammer was made an honorary citizen of the town in 1910.
