The cylindrical stone building was originally the tower of a medieval castle. It became a lookout at the beginning of the 20th century. It is 40 meters high, accessible via a wooden staircase up to the observation deck. It offers a view of the small town of Štramberk with its square, the peaks of Kotouč and Bílá hora, the massif of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains, the Starojický hill with the ruins of the castle and the Moravian Gate.
