The memorial plaque of the Art Nouveau painter Hugo Baar is located on his birthplace in Nový Jičín at 5. května. In addition to the memorial plaque, Hugo Baar is also buried in the municipal cemetery in Nový Jičín, where his Art Nouveau tombstone was designed by architect Hugo Blum and sculptor Leopold Hohl in 1912.
